He scored 259 runs with an average of 51.8 in the three matches he played against Australia. He scored a crucial knock of 91 runs in the famous Gabba Test. The young batsman is looking good to cement his place in the side.

All-rounder Washington Sundar shared an image with his father captioned "Priceless Possessions" on his return from a long Australian tour. Sundar only played the one Test match, but he managed to impress a lot of people. His batting performance in the first innings ensured that India score a respectable total in the first innings. He also picked up four wickets in the match. He looks like a great all-round asset for the team in the larger scheme of things.
