Sachin was seen shouldering his coach’s body for the final rites

Achrekar’s final journey was conducted from his residence in Dadar to the Shivaji park where he used to train his students.

Sachin attended the funeral all way long. He looked emotional and was seen with the family members of his former coach.

Maharashtra Nav Nirman Sen supremo Raj Thackrey also attended the funeral.

The young cricketers, who were playing a match at Shivaji Park, gave the guard of honour to late Achrekar

Besides Sachin, former cricketers Vinod Kambli and Pravin Amre were also present at the rituals.

His last rites were attended by a plethora of celebs including the master blaster himself.

He was 87 and had been battling old age-related ailments for the past few days. His last rites were performed on Thursday morning.

Ramakant Achrekar, the first-ever coach of legend Sachin Tendulkar, passed away on Wednesday in is Mumbai residence.
