The year 2020 would probably be recalled as one of the toughest ones for mankind as it brought with it  a number of setbacks. Apart from the global pandemic and natural disasters, people mourned the demise of a number of revered personalities. While the entertainment world was left shocked to the core after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, Irfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor; the political circles too were aggrieved by the demise of former President Pranab Mukherjee, Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan and veteran Congress leader Ahmed Patel. Pranab Mukherjee: The former President of India, Pranab Mukherjee who served from 2012 to 2017, passed on August 31, 2020 at the age of 84. The demise of the Congress stalwart who was respected by one and all, elicited an outpouring of grief across the political spectrum. A towering figure in Indian politics, Pranab Mukherjee was referred to as Pranab da by almost everyone known to him. He passed away after undergoing treatment for nearly three weeks. He was in septic shock due to lung infection.
