A massive fire broke out in AR Tower in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur on Friday morning. Here is a look at it.

The blaze, which started at 2 am, soon spread to Maqsood, Humraz complex and Nafees towers, charring about 500 shops located in these four towers. (Source: PTI)

Police officials told PTI that prime facie the fire broke out due to a short circuit following a massive dust storm. Strong winds fanned the flames. (Source: ANI)

Deputy director of the UP Fire Department Ajay Kumar told ANI that the fire was under control now. He said, 'The fire is under control now. No person is trapped in the building.' (Source: ANI)

The District Magistrate of Kanpur Vishak Iyer said more than two dozen fire tenders were deployed to douse the inferno. (Source: ANI)
