IN PICS | Massive Fire Breaks Out Post Cylinder Explosion In Mumbai's Versova; Four Injured

A massive fire broke out following a series of blasts at the LPG cylinder godown in Versova area of Mumbai on Wednesday morning.

According to the reports, the incident happened near Anjuman school area on Yari road at around 10.06 am.

A firefighting operation is underway.

Eight fire engines and seven jumbo tankers have been rushed to the spot to control the situation

Civic ward level staff ais also present at the incident site to douse the blaze.

Sources aware of the latest updated informed that four people suffered injures in the incident. The injured are daily wage workers who were in close vicinity of the blast spot.

The injured have been admitted to Cooper Hospital, Juhu, and are undergoing treatment.

The actual cause of the fire is yet to be investigated though sources suspect gas leakage.
