Start Small: Don’t expect to start right where you left off, even if you are experienced and highly skilled in the exercises you are doing. Trying to jump right into advanced exercises or lifting too heavy of a weight can put unnecessary strain on your muscles and tendons that haven’t been used.You can injure yourself and risk your fitness levels instead which would deter you from starting a strong workout routine, hence it is important to ease back into your fitness. Build Sustainable Habits: Find what works for you and build a sustainable routine that you will not give up on easily. Your previous workout routine and or exercise class may not be motivating enough for you or may be too strenuous for your body now that you are less motivated. Choose small habits or activities that you know you can stick to for the long run.
