Skoda Kushaq Onyx Special Edition, More Features At Less Cost: SEE PICS

Skoda has launched a new special edition which makes its Kushaq SUV more value for money. Called the Skoda Kushaq Onyx, this slots in above the Active trim but below the Ambition trim.

This special edition is available only with the 1.0l turbo petrol variant which develops 115bhp while also being RDE compliant.

The Kushaq Onyx can be distinguished with the special Onyx badging on the B-Pillar along with the large grey graphics at the side. The side view also shows the new wheel caps which mimic alloys while also looking pretty good.

At the front the Kushaq Onyx gets LED projector headlamps plus more features over the base spec trim like climate control, fog lamps, rear wiper, air purifier and more.

The interior design gets a dualtone grey/black theme as well.

There is a 7-inch infotainment screen which comes with smartphone connectivity, a six speaker audio system and a height adjustable drivers seat.

In terms of safety, the Kushaq Onyx gets dual airbags, ESP, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX and more.

The Kushaq Onyx with the 1.0l turbo petrol unit comes with a six-speed manual transmission only while in the future Skoda might also put in the six speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Priced at Rs 12.3 lakh, the Kushaq Onyx neatly fits in as a more value based offering with a good amount of features. It is also priced lower than rivals while coming at an attractive price point.

In terms of rivals, the Skoda Kushaq Onyx competes with SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder and of course the Volkswagen Taigun.
