After Mayur Vakani, His 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' Co-Star Mandar Chandwadkar Tests Positive For COVID-19
Mandar Chandwadkar, who plays the role of Bhide in Sony SAB's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
The number of Coronavirus cases has witnessed a surge in Mumbai since the last one week. Earlier in the day, we informed you that ‘Bigg Boss 14’ contestant Nikki Tamboli has tested positive for COVID-19. The ‘Bigg Boss 2020’ second runner-up is observing self- quarantine after getting diagnosed with the virus.
According to a report ETimes, another TV celeb has tested positive for COVID-19. We are talking about Mandar Chandwadkar aka Bhide from ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’.
Mandar confirmed the news while talking to the portal. He revealed that he went into self-isolation after testing positive for the virus. The actor also requested his co-stars Sonalika Joshi and Palak Siddhwani to undergo a COVID-19 test as they were shooting with him on the sets.
Disha Vakani’s brother Mayur Vakani, who is seen as Sundarlal in ‘TMKOC’, has also tested positive for COVID-19. The actor’s wife Hemali has quarantined herself at their home while he has been admitted to a hospital.
Mayur, while talking to Indian Express, said that he would be discharged in a couple of days.
TV Stars Who Recently Tested COVID-19 Positive
Many small screen celebs including Neil Bhatt, Aishwarya Sharma, Manit Jaura and Ariah Aggarwal have tested positive for COVID-19.
The makers of ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ will reportedly change their track in the absence of their two lead stars. Aishwarya and Neil play the respective roles of Pakhi and Virat in ‘GHKPM’. The set of the show was sterilized after Neil tested positive for the virus.
Talking about 'Taarak Mehta', the sitcom has completed over 3000 episodes. It stars Dilip Joshi and Shailesh Lodha in key roles.
