Charu Asopa Hits Back At Rajeev Sen Over ‘Drama’ Remark On Her Financial Struggles: 'Whatever I Do...'

Television actress Charu Asopa has responded to ex-husband Rajeev Sen’s recent comments questioning her financial difficulties, calling out his remarks as yet another attempt to discredit her.

Television actress Charu Asopa has responded to ex-husband Rajeev Sen’s recent comments questioning her financial difficulties, calling out his remarks as yet another attempt to discredit her.

On Saturday, Charu took to Instagram Stories and reacted to a screenshot from Rajeev's latest interview, in which he questioned the credibility of her claims regarding financial strain. Taking a clear jibe at him, she wrote, “Wow that’s beautiful. Whatever I do is always drama for this man.”

What Rajeev said about Charu

Her response comes shortly after Rajeev, in a conversation with Hindustan Times, raised doubts about her claims of facing a financial crunch. “She could afford a cruise trip with her brother and his wife which is pretty expensive and she paid for everyone’s ticket. Where does this financial struggle come into play?” he said.

Rajeev didn’t stop there. He also alleged that Charu had moved out of Mumbai not because of financial constraints, but because she had plans to invest in real estate. “She’s looking to buy a house in Bikaner—or maybe already has—which takes serious money. Even with a loan, buying property isn’t cheap. Plus, if she’s managing cruises and her regular shopping—as seen in her daily vlogs—it clearly shows she’s not struggling financially. Anyone truly under financial stress wouldn’t even dream of buying property,” he claimed.

Charu on her decision of leaving Mumbai

In an earlier interview with the same publication, Charu had opened up about why she chose to leave Mumbai and relocate to her hometown Bikaner. She explained that sustaining a lifestyle in Mumbai had become financially burdensome. “Living in Mumbai is not easy; it costs money. For me, the monthly living cost came up to Rs 1 lakh -1.5 lakh, including the rent and everything, which was not easy. Furthermore, I would rather not leave Ziana alone with a nanny when I am shooting in Naigaon (Mumbai). It used to get extremely difficult. Moving back home and starting my own thing was completely planned; it wasn’t a rushed decision,” she had said.
