Sushmita tweeted an article using the headline as her caption: “The Problematic Culture Of Calling Women Gold Diggers." Sushmita also added a hashtag 'self-made woman'.

New Delhi: Ever since Sushmita Sen and Lalit Modi's relationship became public, the internet has been ablaze with comments and news about the two. On Sunday, Sushmita Sen shared two news stories with the hashtag 'self-made woman'. Sushmita has been trolled and has become a target of memes and jokes online. On Sunday, Sushmita shared a picture of herself from an infinity pool most likely from Maldives and posted a long note on the trolling around being called a 'gold digger' for dating Lalit Modi.

Sushmita shared the Instagram post with a caption that read, "The so called intellectuals with their idiosyncrasies….the ignorant with their cheap & at times funny gossip 😊 The friends I never had & the acquaintances I’ve never met….all sharing their grand opinions & deep knowledge of my life & character…monetising the ‘Gold Digger’ all the way!!! 😄👍 Ah these geniuses!!!."
