Sushmita Sen Reacts To Being Called A 'Gold Digger' For Dating Lalit Modi: 'I Always Prefer Diamonds'

New Delhi: Ever since Sushmita Sen and Lalit Modi's relationship became public, the internet has been ablaze with comments and news about the two. On Sunday, Sushmita Sen shared two news stories with the hashtag 'self-made woman'. Sushmita has been trolled and has become a target of memes and jokes online. Many have called her out as dating the former IPL chairman Lalit Modi for 'his money'.

On Sunday, Sushmita shared a picture of herself from an infinity pool most likely from Maldives and posted a long note on the trolling around being called a 'gold digger' for dating Lalit Modi.

Sushmita shared the Instagram post with a caption that read, "The so called intellectuals with their idiosyncrasies….the ignorant with their cheap & at times funny gossip 😊 The friends I never had & the acquaintances I’ve never met….all sharing their grand opinions & deep knowledge of my life & character…monetising the ‘Gold Digger’ all the way!!! 😄👍 Ah these geniuses!!!."

On Sunday, Sushmita also tweeted an article from SheThePeopleTV using the headline as her caption: “The Problematic Culture Of Calling Women Gold Diggers." Sushmita also added heart, hug, thumbs up, and folded hands emojis besides a hashtag 'self-made woman'.

Minutes later, Sushmita posted another article from Vogue India whose headline read, 'Sushmita Sen and Lalit Modi’s relationship reactions are a masterclass in hypocrisy'. Sushmita then added phrases like ‘well expressed’ and ‘well received’ as well as ‘a self-made woman’ hashtags.

 

 

As the incessant trolling continued, Sushmita Sen also posted a picture of herself on Instagram and called out 'noise cancellation' in a way to block out all negativity.

A few days back, Lalit Modi surprised everyone when he shared pictures of himself with Sushmita from Sardinia and Maldives where the two were vacationing together. In the tweet, he called Sushmita his 'better half' and later clarified that the two weren't married but dating.

Sushmita also posted a clarification later on her Instagram stating that she isn't married but 'surrounded by love'.
