The director of the film Om Raut has announced that Saif Ali Khan has wrapped up shooting for ‘Adipurush’.

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, who has been delivering some powerful performances over the years, is all set to play the role of Lankesh in Prabhas starrer ‘Adipurush’. Helmed by ‘Tanhaji’ director Om Raut, ‘Adipurush’ is based on the Hindu epic ‘Ramayana’, where Prabhas will be witnessed portraying the titular role, Kriti Sanon as Sita and Sunny Singh as Lakshmana.

The director of the film Om Raut recently took to his Twitter and announced that Saif Ali Khan has wrapped up shooting for ‘Adipurush’. The filmmaker also shared some pictures from the wrap up party of ‘Lankesh’.

Sharing the pictures, Om Raut tweeted, “It’s a film wrap for Lankesh!!! Had so much fun shooting with you SAK!!!”

Also, on the occasion of Sunny Singh’s birthday on October 6, the team of ‘Adipurush’ celebrated his special day on set. The director wished the ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ actor with a picture from the celebration and wrote, “Wishing our champ @mesunnysingh a very happy Birthday”.

‘Adipurush’ was announced last year and has been shot simultaneously in both Telugu and Hindi and will be dubbed in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The movie will release in 3D and has been produced by T-Series and Retrophiles.

Meanwhile, speaking about Saif Ali Khan, he will next be seen featuring in the crime comedy film ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ opposite Rani Mukerji. The film will also star Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh in lead roles. He will also reportedly star as a police officer with Hrithik Roshan in the Hindi remake of the 2017 Tamil film ‘Vikram Vedha’. He also has ‘Go Goa Gone 2’ in his kitty.
