Is Hrithik the reason for Sanjay Dutt's delay in comeback film?
New Delhi: Looks like Sanjay Dutt’s return to the films will get delayed and the reason is none other than his ‘Agneepath’ nemesis Hrithik Roshan.
Sometime back, it was reported that the 56-year-old actor was all set to make his comeback to the big screen with the Siddharth Anand-directed ‘Badlaa,’ but now it seems that the director signed an action film, possibly titled ‘Fighter,’ with Hrithik around the same time.
So, according to a DNA reports, plaguing ‘Munnabhai’s comeback vehicle, the ‘Mohenjo Daro’ actor’s movie is given the preference.
According to source, “Hrithik will start shooting for Fighter from November this year. Fact is, Siddharth dumped Sanju for Hrithik. He told the producers of Badlaa that he would get Alia Bhatt to do the film, then he said he would get Kriti Sanon on board, but now it seems like delaying tactics.”
“Till he got Hrithik on board, Siddharth kept stalling the Badlaa producers giving the ‘finding the heroine’ excuse. Finally, Siddharth managed to give Hrithik a narration in June and got a green signal from him. As soon as that happened, reports of Badlaa being shelved surfaced. Sanju had no clue that he was ditched. Dutt was told that the script didn’t shape up as expected and that is what he chimed when asked about Badlaa,” source added.

Nevertheless, Sanjay is back with the award-winning filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra and is now working on his next venture ‘Marco Bhau.’
The film, produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, is an emotional film on father-daughter bonding, inspired by the Balraj Sahni-starrer 1961 film ‘Kabuliwala’.
This movie will reportedly star as Sanjay's daughter.
