In an unfortunate turn of events Mandira Bedi’s husband Raj Kaushal passed away on Wednesday morning after a massive heart attack.

The couple's friend shared the terrible news of Raj Kaushal's passing away on his social media page.

According to reports, Raj Kaushal suffered a heart-attack around 4:30 AM in the morning and before his family could take him to the hospital he passed away.

He is survived by wife Mandira Bedi and two kids- son Veer and adopted daughter Tara.

Filmmaker Onir too confirmed the news on social media and wrote, “Gone too soon. We lost Film maker and Producer @rajkaushal1 this morning. Very Sad. He was one of the producers of my first film #MyBrotherNikhil. One of those few who believed in our vision and supported us. Prayers for his soul.”

Raj Kaushal, who was a filmmaker helmed three films in his career – Pyaar Mein Kabhie Kabhie, Shaadi Ka Ladoo and Anthony Kaun Hai. He started his career as a copywriter.

Kaushal's funeral in Bandra on Wednesday morning was attended by his friends from the industry including Huma Qureshi, Apurva Agnihotri, Samir Soni and Ashish Chaudhary among others. According to reports, Mandira Bedi is in completely devastated state ever since her husband’s death and the actress broke down outside her residence on seeing her husband’s mortal remains.

Many celebrities including actor Ashish Chaudhary and Rohit Roy rushed to the Bedi-Kaushal residence to be with the grieving family members.
