After the Supreme Court's verdict on Sushant Singh Rajput's death case in which it has transferred the case to the CBI, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis has lashed out at the current government saying that they should introspect.

Sushant Singh Rajput News: Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis has lashed out at the state government after the announcement of the Supreme Court’s verdict on Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. The apex court on Wednesday transferred the case to the CBI for investigation. Fadnavis said that the SCs judgment should make the current government introspect on the way it handled the case. ‘Maharashtra government should introspect on the way SushantSinghRajput's death case was handled in the State, “ said Maharashtra Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis to ANI. The BJP leader has been vocal about his support for further investigations into the death case of the Bollywood actor. Last month, he had demanded an inquiry into Sushant Singh Rajput death by Enforcement Directorate (ED) and had raised the issue about the demand for CBI investigation by the public. He had tweeted, “There is a huge public sentiment about handing over SushantSinghRajput case to CBI but looking at the reluctance of State Government, atleast @dir_ed ED can register an ECIR since misappropriation and money laundering angle has come out.” The Supreme Court verdict has been welcomed by Rajput’s family and several thousand fans who were demanding justice for the actor. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy also expressed his happiness about the verdict and wrote 'CBI Jay Ho' on his Twitter page.
