Filmmaker Rahul Nigam Launches State-of-the-Art Shooting Studio in Mumbai

From capturing India’s landscapes from the skies to building spaces that fuel creative storytelling, Rahul Nigam has consistently pushed boundaries as a filmmaker and aerial cinematographer. His latest venture, Flying Squad Studios, is a state-of-the-art shooting space located in Andheri West, Mumbai, designed for filmmakers, content creators, photographers, and brands alike.
The studio features diverse setups and an infrastructure that supports both indie shoots and high-end productions. “I wanted to create more than just a space I wanted to build a creative environment that inspires professionals to do their best work,” Rahul shares.
A Career Defined by Vision
Rahul’s journey through the world of visuals began with his fascination for filmmaking, eventually evolving into a dynamic career as a Director of Photography, Director, and Aerial Cinematographer. He has worked across a wide range of formats including feature films, ad films, web series, and television shows. Through his production company, he has collaborated with India’s leading corporations and production houses such as Larsen & Toubro, Tata, Adani, Afcons, as well as major entertainment platforms including Colors, Star Plus, Sony, Netflix, ZEE5, and Amazon Prime Video consistently delivering powerful visual narratives across mediums.
His work has also been shared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with several key authorities and institutions across India — a testament to the impact and quality of his visual storytelling. Rahul has been a part of some of the most significant infrastructure developments in Maharashtra and across India, right from their early stages — including projects like Atal Setu, the Mumbai Coastal Road, Orange Gate Project, Kolkata Underwater Metro, Nagpur Metro, Samruddhi Expressway, and India’s widest road tunnel. His expertise has also extended internationally, contributing to large-scale projects in Ghana and Zambia, Africa.
Beyond the Lens
While Rahul prefers to let his work speak, he doesn’t shy away from acknowledging the hurdles he overcame. “Everyone has chapters they don’t read out loud. But those chapters are what shape your story,” he reflects, hinting at the quiet resilience behind his achievements.
Currently, Rahul is also developing his first feature film, based on a powerful and socially relevant concept. “This one’s close to my heart. If made the way I envision it, it could open up conversations we often avoid,” he says.
