Daniel Radcliffe And Other ‘Harry Potter’ Cast Pay Tribute To Dumbledore Actor Michael Gambon

Several 'Harry Potter' actors, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and others paid their heartfelt tributes to Michael Gambon.

New Delhi: Michael Gambon, the British actor best remembered for playing Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films, died on Thursday at the age of 82 after suffering from pneumonia. Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, responded to the news of Michael Gambon's passing. Daniel stated in a statement to Variety that Michael Gambon was "one of the most brilliant, effortless actors". He said, “With the loss of Michael Gambon the world just became considerably less fun.”

The actor added, "The thing I will remember most about him is how much fun he had doing his job. He was silly, irreverent and hilarious. He loved his job, but never seemed defined by it. He was an incredible story and joke teller and his habit of blurring the lines of fact and fiction when talking to journalists meant that he was also one of the most entertaining people with whom you could ever wish to do a press junket."

Emma Watson, who portrayed Hermione Granger in the film series, remembered Michael Gambon on her Instagram story.
