New Delhi: Alia Bhatt's pregnancy announcement has taken the internet by a storm. The massive coverage of her pregnancy with rumors and half-baked reports have led Alia to respond to many such claims on Instagram. After Alia shared a thank you note with all on Instagram for the good wishes and love people and B-Town celebs sent in, she shared another post calling out the archaic thinking of many in this patriarchal world.

Taking to her official Instagram handle, Alia wrote, "Meanwhile we still live in some peoples heads we still live in some patriarchal world .. fyi. Nothing has gotten delayed!!!! No one needs to PICK anyone up. I am a woman not a parcel!!! I do not need to REST at all but good to know you'll have a doctors certification as well. This is 2022. Can we pls get out of this archake way of thinking! Now if you would excuse me … my shot is ready (sic).”
