Dont Fall For BJP & RSS As Shrudras-Dalits-Women Not Allowed In RSS Sanctum Sanctorum: Siddaramaiah

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah claimed that the "RSS sanctum sanctorum" prohibits the entry of 'shudras' and women and cautioned people not to trust the assurances given by the BJP-RSS on Wednesday. Additionally, he accused both organizations of being opposed to social justice and reservation policies.

At the meeting of SC/ST activists and leaders at the district Congress office on Wednesday, the Chief Minister’s office quoted him as saying, “People should not fall for BJP-RSS. Shudras-Dalits and Women are not allowed inside the RSS sanctum sanctorum.” 

The meeting was arranged to rally support for Congress candidate M. Lakshmana in Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha constituency.

Siddaramaiah's office quoted him as saying, as per PTI report, "The BJP and RSS are against social justice. Therefore, they do not like reservation."

He emphasized that reservation is not a charitable act but a fundamental entitlement of oppressed communities.

Siddaramaiah argued that reservation should persist as long as the caste system remains entrenched in society.

“Before independence and British era, did we, the Shudras have the right to study? Did women have any rights? A woman had to burn herself immediately after the death of her husband. Such inhuman practices inspired by Manusmriti were prohibited by our Constitution,” the CM added, as per the report.

Siddaramaiah alleged that the BJP and RSS aim to reintroduce Manusmriti through constitutional amendments. He asserted that individuals belonging to marginalized groups like Shudras, Dalits, and women are prohibited from entering the sanctum sanctorum. Siddaramaiah cited instances of senior BJP leaders being denied entry into the RSS office's sanctum sanctorum in Nagpur.

He added that the truth was, the Shudras were being used.

 

Siddaramaiah also reportedly referred to instances where BJP leaders were not permitted into RSS sanctum Sanctorum.
