LS polls: PM Modi makes big statement, says 'We have an experience of running a coalition govt'

Where on one hand PM Modi has claimed that NDA is going to bag more MPs this year, as compared to 2014, on the other hand, PM spoke about running a coalition government; saying “I have experience of running a coalition government; he said coalition governments help in strengthening the integrity of the nation”.

New Delhi:  Will Bharatiya Janta Party once again repeat its 2014 Lok Sabha poll performance or will the opposition parties form a government? The answers to all the above questions will be cleared on May 23, when the results of Lok Sabha elections will be declared. But, after 6 phase of voting, all parties are confident of forming a government in center, as a result of which several opposition leaders can be seen meeting each other. Only yesterday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao met DMK leader Stalin. Where on one hand PM Modi has claimed that NDA is going to bag more MPs this year, as compared to 2014, on the other hand, PM spoke about running a coalition government; saying “I have experience of running a coalition government; he said coalition governments help in strengthening the integrity of the nation”. In an interview to news channel News24, PM Modi said “Even before elections were announced, we have been saying that our work speaks for itself. The faith of people of this nation is increasing in the government. We worked hard day and night to fulfill the dreams of the people. That is why we are saying that we will bag more seats this year. The strength of BJP and NDA will increase”. He said, “I have an experience of running a coalition government. I have worked in Bansilal government in Haryana, and also in Chautala government; and have also worked with Abdul sahib in Jammu and Kashmir and also with Mufti. Have worked with Chiman Bhai Patel in Gujarat and later served Gujrat as a Chief Minister; But, we never had pride and arrogance. Indian politics is politics of polarization, where one camp is headed by BJP and other by Congress”. “No matter how any seats we get, we should take everyone along with us, which will help us understand regional interest better and can strengthen country’s oneness” PM added. Voting has already taken place on 483 seats for the Lok Sabha elections. The Polling for seventh phase on 59 seats will take place on May 19.  The counting of votes will take place on May 23.
