Emergency Guidelines For Citizens
The Mumbai Civil Defence Department's advisory mention the following points:

- Keep an emergency kit ready with a torch, batteries, first aid supplies, essential medicines, water, dry food, power banks, ID proof, and cash.

- Upon getting an emergency alert, stay away from windows, switch off lights, and use stairs instead of elevators.

Identify safe zones like basements or interior corridors, maintain clear evacuation paths, and display floor maps.
Use curtains during blackouts, avoid elevators, prepare kits, and ensure vulnerable groups are cared for.
