PM Modi Italy Visit: PM Modi Congratulates Italy PM Giorgia Meloni on Longest Tenure in Office

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on reaching a landmark milestone as Italy’s longest-serving prime minister. In his message, PM Modi extended his best wishes to his “friend” Giorgia Meloni and highlighted the trust placed in her leadership by the people of Italy. The congratulatory message comes as Meloni crosses the previous record for the longest tenure as Italy’s prime minister, marking a significant moment in the country’s political history. PM Modi praised her leadership and conveyed his wishes for her continued success. The message also highlights the close diplomatic and personal rapport between the Indian and Italian leadership. Meloni has been serving as Italy’s prime minister since October 2022, when she became the country’s first woman to hold the office. Her extended tenure has now placed her at the top of Italy’s list of longest-serving prime ministers in the post-war era. PM Modi’s public message underlines the significance India attaches to its relationship with Italy and its engagement with the Italian government under Meloni’s leadership.
