Months Of Planning, 'Snapchat Texts From Land Of The Dead' — Fresh Details Emerge In Meerut Murder

Muskan manipulated Sahil into believing that his dead mother was communicating with him and wanted Saurabh to be killed.

The accused wife in the Saurabh Rajput murder case has shared some shocking revelations in the murder of her husband which she planned with her lover, Sahil Shukla.

Both the accused have been arrested by the police who said that they were planning to kill Saurabh for months. They earlier attempted twice but failed before executing their plan on March 4.

As per police investigation, Sahil had a deep belief in black magic and was superstitious. Muskan Rastogi was well aware of this and allegedly used it to manipulate Sahil into killing Saurabh.

Sahil's mother had passed away years ago but he believed he could still communicate with her.

Fake Snapchat IDs

Muskan created three fake IDs on Snapchat using her brother's mobile number, according to India Today. She used one of the three accounts to send messages to Sahil, persuading him that it was his mother who was speaking to him from the afterlife.

“Muskaan is a good girl. You will be happy with her,” Sahil received the message from the fake Snapchat ID.

"Muskan created a fake Snapchat ID in the name of her brother and then told her lover, Sahil, that his dead mother had appeared and was connecting via her brother's ID," SP City Ayush Vikram Singh said.

She also told Sahil that his dead mother wanted Saurabh to be killed, Singh added, saying that this angle is being looked into further.

Muskan used this ruse to manipulate Sahil into believing his mother was communicating with him, said the SP.

Mysterious Tantric Symbols

Authorities were shocked by the condition of Sahil's house, especially the walls. As per the report, the walls had images of Lord Shiva,  mysterious tantric symbols drawn in red and black, and eerie sentences written in English.

Both the accused had killed Saurabh, a merchant navy, dismembered his body and stuffed the remains in a drum sealing it with cement. After committing the crime, both left for vacation in Himachal Pradesh.

Daughter At Fault: Muskan's Parents

Meanwhile, Muskan's parents have pinned the blame for Saurabh's murder on her. Pramod Kumar Rastogi and Kavita Rastogi, Muskan's parents have stood firmly with their son-in-law's family for justice to be delivered.

The parents made no attempt to defend their daughter and demanded the harshest punishment.

"My daughter (Muskan) killed her husband (Saurabh)... She is not fit for society and is dangerous to everyone. I would advise others not to take such steps... She should be hanged till death, and if possible, it should be live...," said the accused's father, speaking with ANI.

Muskan's mother even called for her daughter to be hanged to death. "Saurabh was a good man... We demand justice, and we want her (Muskan) to be hanged till death," she said.
