Bihar Woman And Mother-In-Law In Police Net For Con Jobs In Kaimur
In Bihar, two women executed a series of well-planned theft and con jobs. One of the women was the mother-in-law of the other.

Bihar Crime News: Proving social media jokes of clashes between daughters-in-law and mothers-in-law wrong, two women from Bihar showed that they can work together and the relationship need not be acrimonious always. However, the 'working together' went a bit too far as they executed well-planned con thefts and jobs in the Kaimur district of Bihar.
Bihar Police in Kaimur district have now recovered a huge quantity of stolen jewellery from the two women and arrested them. The women used to steal jewellery by deceiving people.
Kaimur SP Harimohan Shukla said on Wednesday that on March 17, the wife of Rajgriha Tiwari, a resident of Bhabhua Ward No-13, filed a complaint. She reported that her gold and silver jewellery had been stolen while going home from an e-rickshaw near Ekta Chowk. Following the SP's instructions, a team was formed to investigate the theft.
A case was registered at Bhabhua police station and the e-rickshaw driver was taken into custody based on CCTV footage. Based on his statement, one of the women was identified and apprehended. The woman, a resident of Darhak village in the Ramgarh police station area, revealed that her mother-in-law and a gold trader were also involved in the con job.
Both of them were taken into custody. The arrested women have been identified as Jiramuni Devi, wife of late Surendra Seth, and Jyoti Devi, wife of Umesh Seth.
Upon searching the houses of the arrested women, gold and silver jewellery were recovered. Along with this, ₹41,866 in cash and some foreign currency were also found in their possession.
Most of the jewellery was stolen, said the police. The recovered jewellery is worth about ₹13 lakh. They said that both women used to sell the stolen jewellery to local jewellers. Police are also questioning the jewellers and probing if they were involved in the planning and execution of the crimes.
