The new Kia Carnival is much bigger and more premium than the earlier generation model

The Kia Carnival is coming to India in a new avatar and it's launch is in October. The new Carnival is much bigger and more premium than the earlier generation model. The new Carnival could be brought in as a CBU while it would also be in limited numbers such as the EV6 at the start. In terms of size, the new Carnival is much bigger and has more space plus more features too.

It will get a larger digital instrument cluster plus a new touchscreen infotainment system. Other features include double sunroofs, multiple seating options and a heads up display. There would be multiple seating options too and the top-end trims would make its way into the Indian market with a captain seat layout.

There would be more features for the rear passengers as well while overall some comfort technologies include three zone climate control and ventilation for even the rear seats. We can expect some ADAS technology as well. Globally, the new Carnival is available with a range of engines while in India it could get a diesel at the start.

The Carnival is a luxury people mover plus won't have any rival at this price point. Being a CBU it would be more expensive than the earlier Carnival but will occupy a niche since it won't have any rivals.

It will slot in between the Toyota Innova Hycross and the Toyota Vellfire which is well above Rs 1 crore. Kia will also bring in its EV9 electric luxury SUV as it expands its range in the premium space above the Seltos. Expect more details leading upto the launch of the new  Carnival soon.
