The Maybach specification gets many personalisation options including first class rear seats and a different styling package along with the interior design
Luxury carmaker is betting big on its top-end portfolio as its Maybach brand in particular has found success in India. However, the luxury brand yesterday also launched an electric Maybach, the EQS 680 at Rs 2.2 crore. The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV is their flagship EV offering and comes with a dual motor configuration.
The Maybach specification gets many personalisation options including first class rear seats and a different styling package along with the interior design. The EQS SUV has 4Matic all wheel drive plus a 611 km range along with vegetable-tanned Nappa leather, Burmester 4D surround sound system with Dolby Atmos and more.
Along with the Maybach EQS SUV, the car-maker also plans to launch the electric G-Class later this year. There have also been more than 80 bookings for the first electric G-Wagon as well. The electric G-Class will be staying true to its off-road ethos and would be having no less than four electric motors.
The G 580 with EQ technology will come with features like G-STEERING, intelligent off-road crawl function, to the G-TURN enabling an up to 720-degree turn on the spot. The electric G-Class will claim to do a 0-100 km/h time of 5 seconds and gets updates over the standard G-Class for better aero and a different look.
With cars like the electric G-Class and the EQS Maybach, the BEV strategy will also focus on the top-end cars along with its offerings like the EQA SUV. Currently, the EV range of Mercedes-Benz includes the EQA, EQB and the EQE along with the EQS luxury sedan while the new EQS SUV comes in the form of the Maybach EQS 680.
