New Maruti Dzire 2024: Is It The Most Fuel Efficient Sedan In India?

Not only will the new generation Dzire get more features, it will also get a more frugal petrol engine

Maruti Suzuki is readying the new Dzire for launch in India in the coming months and it could be the most fuel efficient sedan in India. The current Dzire has been selling very well and has been one of the best selling cars in India plus also for Maruti Suzuki.

Not only will the new generation Dzire get more features, it will also get a more frugal petrol engine. This engine is similar to the Swift and will be the new 1.2l three cylinder motor. It is lighter and more environmentally friendly plus has more efficiency of course.

We expect mileage figures for the new Dzire automatic to be near 26 kmpl and similar to the Swift. Like the Swift, the new Dzire will get a 5-speed manual and an AMT as an option. Compared to the outgoing Dzire, the new one would be expected to be less powerful like the new Swift but will have more efficiency which buyers look out for in this segment.

The Dzire with this efficiency would be a lot more efficient than even cars like the Wagon R and the Alto. The Dzire would be the second Maruti to get this powertrain after the Swift and in future we can expect more cars from their range to get this engine. The new Dzire would be launched with more features like a 360 degree camera and a larger touchscreen plus a sunroof.

We can expect the new Dzire to have a slight premium in terms of its pricing but the new features and the extra space when compared to the earlier model will make it worth it. The new Dzire will compete with rivals like the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor and the Honda Amaze which will also get a new generation model by next year.
