Hyundai Exter Small SUV Design Revealed — Check Details
The Exter would be slotted below the Venue and would be its entry level product in the SUV range.
Hyundai has given us a first look of its big new upcoming micro SUV called Exter and it shows the design language of this new SUV. It certainly looks attractive and is much more appealing than the Casper which is the global Hyundai micro SUV.
The Exter has a dual grille with a slim upper grille with DRLs while the design is proper SUV and not a crossover at all! There are numerous SUV styling elements like a skid plate and roofrails as well.
The wheel arch design also hints at the fact that the Exter looks pretty much like a proper SUV and not a micro one. The design also has a hint of the Venue with the two-part DRL/headlamp design.
The Exter would be slotted below the Venue and would be its entry level product in the SUV range. It would be designed to take on the likes of the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite and the Renault Kiger too. The design has shown that a proper SUV look is being given and it is also a product designed for India with the Indian market in mind while not simply selling the Casper here.
The Exter would come with most probably a 1.2l petrol engine with AMT and manual gearbox options. The Exter is also expected to come with features like a touchscreen, climate control and other technology oriented features like connected car technology amongst others.
The Exter will increase Hyundai’s footprint in the SUV space and will add to its current SUV line-up with the Venue and Creta. This will further add to the tally of numbers with a shift in buyers wanting an SUV vs a hatchback at this price. More details would be revealed soon of the Exter leading upto its launch in the festive season this year.
