Lion Takes A Stroll On A Busy Flyover In Gujarat, Viral Video Shocks Netizens

"Lions look good in jungles as much as humans look good in cities. For the betterment of both, they should be confined to their own habitats," commented one user on the post.

A video has surfaced online that shows a lion roaming on the streets of Gujarat. Shared by Indian Forest Service officer (IFS) Susanta Nanda on his Twitter handle @susantananda3, the 12-second short clip shows the lion walking down a flyover in broad daylight. The caption of the tweet shared by Nanda reads, "Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein...Lion enjoying the rain and taking a stroll on the flyover. Gujarat".

The video opens to show a lion walking on the flyover. As a car comes next to the lion, it stops to have a glimpse of the big cat roaming so freely on the streets. The video looks to have been recorded from a distance on the flyover.

Since being shared, the clip has amassed over 2 lakh views, 1,973 likes and tons of comments.

"Lions look good in jungles as much as humans look good in cities. For the betterment of both, they should be confined to their own habitats," commented one user on the post

"It's very common in Gujarat for Lions and humans strolling in eachother's territory but this one maybe due to heavy rains and flooding in Gir and surrounding areas," wrote another user.

"OMG! Didn't know there was wild lions in Gujarat," commented a third.

"Surprising that a wild animal is so much at ease in urban environment. He is not at all confused or aggressive," wrote another user.

This is not the first incident of a lion roaming on the streets of Gujarat. In February this year, the IFS officer had shared a video that showed a group of eight lions walking down the road at night.
