In a video that is going insanely viral on social media, a cat jumped on an Imam who was leading a nightly Ramadan prayer in Bordj Bou Arreridj, Algeria. The cat is seen climbing on the imam leading the prayers being broadcast live. It was during the special Taraweeh rituals, that the viral moment took place.
The video was shared on the microblogging site Twitter by user @BinImad with the caption, "Cat jumps on Imam during qiyam (taraweeh) prayers and he behaves exactly like any imam Insha’Allah would."
In the two-minute-long video Imam Walid Mehsas is leading the prayers as a cat suddenly appears and climbs on to his shoulder but the Imam maintains his composure and strokes the cat with love. Just before he bows down during the prayer, the cat jumps down.
