"We’re also bringing replies to Announcement Groups, so admins can hear from their members while keeping these groups an easy place to catch up on what’s happening in your Community. Replies are grouped together and minimised so you can see what others have said in context, and notifications are muted for everyone," he added.

Meta-owned WhatsApp further noted that it will keep rolling out new features in the next few months, to Communities and groups so users have more tools to keep their lives organised on WhatsApp.

WhatsApp Communities Gets New Features

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that enables Community members to reply to admin announcements within the Community Announcement Groups. According to the company, this feature enables admins to gather essential feedback directly from members within the announcement group itself. Replies within the announcement groups will be consolidated and minimised, allowing interested members to view others' responses in the context of a specific announcement. Notifications for replies in this group will be muted for all members.

Within a WhatsApp Community, group members now have the capability to create events. Other members can then respond to these created events to indicate their attendance. Any event created will be displayed on the group's information page. Group members who have RSVP'd and indicated their attendance for the event will receive automated notifications as the event approaches.
