WhatsApp Built-In Sticker Maker For Web And Desktop Is Here: Here's How To Use

In a bid to let users create their own custom stickers, WhatsApp is rolling out a feature for WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp for Desktop users on Mac and PC.

New Delhi: In a bid to let users create their own custom stickers, WhatsApp is rolling out a feature for WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp for Desktop users on Mac and PC. The feature will essentially be a native tool for all your sticker needs. The built-in sticker maker feature can be accessed on WhatsApp Web version (after an update) and WhatsApp for Desktop users are likely to get it in the coming week.

While stickers have been available on the platform for a few years, the ability to create your own custom stickers is new, according to WhatsApp. Before this, users would have to use third-party apps to make their own stickers before sending them on WhatsApp.

"Starting today, we are really excited to introduce a new tool on WhatsApp for Web and Desktop that allows users to make their own custom stickers," the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

Sticker Maker feature on WhatsApp is currently available on WhatsApp for Web and will be rolling out in the coming week for Desktop users.

"To use Sticker Maker, download the latest version of WhatsApp for Web or Desktop, from a chat window select the attachments icon (paperclip), then the Sticker icon, and from there you can upload a photo and make your own magic," the Meta-owned company added.

How To Use WhatsApp Sticker Maker

Users can access the sticker maker from any chat > Attach (click on the paperclip icon) > Sticker and upload a photo to create their custom sticker.

The user can outline and crop their photo into a sticker and add emojis or words to it -- and they will have their own custom sticker.

In another news, WhatsApp is working to introduce a feature that would extend the message-deleting time to a week from the current time limit of a little more than an hour.

According to WABetaInfo, a beta tracker of WhatsApp, the new update that will bring the message deletion feature has been spotted on WhatsApp Desktop beta 2.2147.4. Currently, users can delete messages for everyone within 1 hour, 8 minutes and 16 seconds.
