Memes Flood Twitter As Legacy Blue Checks Removed, Netizens Say 'Paisa Hai To, Blue Tick Hai'
Twitter users are having a field day with blue ticks gone and memes flooding the internet.
Twitter began removing blue ticks of legacy verified accounts late on Thursday night keeping the promise CEO Elon Musk earlier made. Celebrities, singers, sportspersons and many more lost their legacy verified blue tick and now it has become mandatory for all to subscribe to Twitter verification by paying like any other normal subscription. Well, as expected, Twitter users are having a field day with blue ticks gone and memes flooding the internet.
Users are relating themselves with what one Twitterati said, "Paisa Hai To, Blue Tick Hai".
Famous actor Prakash Raj reacted to the development and tweeted, “Bye bye #BlueTick …. It was nice having you….my journey ..my conversations..my sharing…will continue with my people … you take care #justasking”

On the blue tick which was still visible on author Stephen King’s account, he said, “My Twitter account says I’ve subscribed to Twitter Blue. I haven’t. My Twitter account says I’ve given a phone number. I haven’t.”
Later, Musk in a tweet said that he is paying for some accounts of which, King's is one. "Just Shatner, LeBron and King," he tweeted.

Some really seemed untouched by the development as one wrote, "You promised that last month and it’s still there. Honestly I hope you do finally remove it (after they made it indistinguishable from the $8 bros) but I ain’t holding my breath.
