The launch of the upcoming iPhone 15 line could be delayed until October, according to an analyst with Bank of America (BoA). The global securities analyst with BoA named Wamsi Mohan has said that the official unveiling of the iPhone 15 series could be delayed by a "few weeks" which means we would not see the iPhone 15 series launch in September. Mohan, in a research note shared with Barrons mentioned that the launch could take place in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2023, as spotted by MacRumors.
Netflix Ending Password Sharing In India
Netflix has recently taken a significant step in India by implementing a policy to end password sharing, limiting account access only to members of a "Household". The company's decision is part of a broader global crackdown on password sharing beyond immediate family members, aimed at boosting revenue following a challenging period last year. In May, Netflix announced its determination to curb this practice, and the results have been encouraging.
Truecaller Assistant That Can Take Calls On User's Behalf Launched
A month after reintroducing call recording feature for both Android and iOS users, Truecaller on Thursday launched Truecaller Assistant in India, its biggest market, which leverages machine learning (ML) and cloud telephony to create the call-screening solution. Truecaller Assistant is currently available for Android users only and it would "answer calls" on behalf of the user, in a bid to fight fraud and spam calls. It screens calls, filters out the spammers, and tells the user who’s calling and why. It would support Hindi, English as well as "Hinglish".
Twitter CEO Says 99 Per Cent Content On Platform 'Healthy'
Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino has refuted recent reports of a surge in hateful and harmful content on the platform even as they state otherwise. According to the new Twitter CEO, more than 99 per cent of content that users and advertisers see on the micro-blogging platform is "healthy." She also added that only a small amount of content on Twitter needs enforcement. This comes after a report by news agency Bloomberg said post-Elon Musk's Twitter acquisition, there has been a dramatic spike in hateful, violent and inaccurate posts on the platform, according to researchers.
Google Testing AI That Can Generate News
Google is currently conducting tests on a new product that utilises artificial intelligence (AI) technology to generate news stories, according to three sources familiar with the matter, as reported by The New York Times. The product, internally known as Genesis, has been presented to various news organisations, including NYT, The Washington Post, and News Corp, the owner of The Wall Street Journal.
