Swipe Left If You're A Scorpio? Tinder 2025 Dating Forecast Claims Gen Z Loves Star Signs

Tinder’s latest dating trends suggest that Gen Z isn’t just looking for love — they’re trying to manifest it. The app’s 2025 Dating Forecast reveals a rising curiosity among young Indians and global users alike for deeper, emotion-driven connections rooted in astrology, tarot, and even pet compatibility.

Swipe Left If You're a Scorpio?

In a striking departure from love-at-first-swipe, many Gen Z and millennial daters are letting the cosmos steer their romantic decisions. According to Tinder’s internal insights, nearly three in ten young users now peek at a potential date’s zodiac sign before making plans. For some, that’s not enough — 16 per cent are consulting tarot cards to gain romantic clarity before committing to that first IRL meetup.

"Today’s daters are looking for more than just chemistry — they’re paying attention to emotional alignment and lifestyle signals," said Dr. Chandni Tugnait, Tinder’s relationship expert. "Being ‘good with pets’ or emotionally aware is emerging as a modern love language."

Pet Parents Are Winning Hearts

The emotional quotient doesn’t end with signs and symbols — pets are now part of the dating equation. In India, Tinder has seen a 7.6 per cent increase in pet mentions across bios over the last year. Whether it's cat cuddles or dog park adventures, how someone interacts with animals is fast becoming a reflection of how they might show up in relationships.

To lean into this trend, Tinder India collaborated with tarot reader Jeevika Sharma for a playful project: a zodiac-inspired dating forecast narrated through the perspective of users’ pets. While tongue-in-cheek in tone, it reflects a broader truth — modern romance is as much about emotional compatibility as it is about connection.

Manifesting Soulmates With Vision Boards

The report also uncovers a growing wave of “manifestation dating.” Nearly 20 per cent of singles are now creating vision boards to attract specific relationship vibes — from the dependable warmth of “Golden Retriever love” to the mysterious allure of “Black Cat energy.”

As Tinder's findings show, young daters are no longer satisfied with superficial profiles. They’re looking inward — and upward — before they look across the table. Whether it’s a shared moon sign, a tarot reading, or a mutual love for animals, emotional alignment has officially entered the chat.
