Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Release Date Confirmed. Here's How Much It Could Be Priced At

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge variant has been teased for weeks, with glimpses of its curved silhouette and camera features already surfacing.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Release Date: Samsung has confirmed the official launch date for the much-anticipated Galaxy S25 Edge — May 13, 9 am KST. That translates to May 12 evening in the US and early morning hours of May 13 in India. After months of leaks and teaser appearances, the premium smartphone is all set to join the Galaxy S25 family, filling the space between the standard and Ultra variants.

Release Date Confirmed, Global Timings Revealed

Samsung has formally announced that the Galaxy S25 Edge will make its full debut on May 13 at 9 am Korea time, which is 5:30 am IST, 8 PM on May 12 in New York, and 5 PM on May 12 in California. The phone was earlier teased at the Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this year, when the Galaxy S25 series was firs announced. The official invite describes the device as “more than a slim smartphone,” touting its craftsmanship as “a breakthrough in precise engineering to create a premium experience worthy of the S series name.”

The Edge variant has been teased for weeks, with glimpses of its curved silhouette and camera features already surfacing. Now, with the launch date locked in, all eyes are on what could be Samsung’s sleekest flagship yet.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Price In India (Expected)

While Samsung hasn’t yet disclosed the India-specific price, leaks offer strong clues. In Germany, the 256GB model is expected to cost €1,249 (approx. Rs 1,19,600) and the 512GB version €1,369 (around Rs 1,31,100). Given Samsung’s typical pricing structure in India, the Galaxy S25 Edge is likely to be positioned between the S25 Plus and the S25 Ultra — possibly starting at Rs 99,999 and going up to Rs 1,29,999.

Availability in India could begin from May 30 onwards, following the in-store rollout in South Korea and China on May 23.

Slim Design, Flagship Specs — But With A Few Compromises

Beyond its headline launch date and pricing, the Galaxy S25 Edge is shaping up to be a blend of cutting-edge specs and minimalist design. According to leaks, the phone will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (Elite) chipset, and 12GB RAM, all wrapped in a body just 5.85mm thick and weighing only 163g. That makes it one of Samsung’s thinnest and lightest premium phones to date.

On the photography front, Samsung says the S25 Edge “embodies the ultimate camera experience,” confirming the 200MP main sensor. “Every curve, contour, and component reflects a breakthrough in precise engineering,” the invite reads. The camera system continues Galaxy’s tradition of pro-grade mobile photography, backed by AI enhancements familiar from the S25 series.

However, that sleekness comes at a cost — the battery is reportedly capped at 3,900mAh, the smallest among the S25 lineup. There’s also chatter about a single bottom-firing speaker replacing the typical stereo setup, which could be a potential downside for media consumption.

Despite these trade-offs, the Galaxy S25 Edge appears poised to appeal to users who crave high-end performance in a super-slim package, with a premium look, powerful internals, and Samsung’s signature build quality.
