Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Could Cost Up to Rs 1.32 Lakh In India: What To Expect At Launch Tomorrow

Samsung has already spilled the beans on one big feature — the 200MP main camera sensor, the same powerhouse found in the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Price: Samsung is set to pull the wraps off its slimmest smartphone yet — the Galaxy S25 Edge — at a global launch event on May 13. But even before the curtain rises, the buzz around its pricing has caught everyone’s attention. Based on leaked listings, the phone is expected to be priced between Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,29,999 in India, depending on the storage variant. The 256GB model may be priced around Rs 1,20,600, while the 512GB version could reach Rs 1,32,200, making it one of Samsung’s priciest non-Ultra models to date.

Samsung will host a virtual Unpacked event for the launch, which will be livestreamed on YouTube and the company’s website. While it will first go on sale in countries like South Korea and China, a broader rollout, including India, is expected to follow soon after.

Thinner Than Ever: Just 5.85mm With Titanium Finish

What truly sets the Galaxy S25 Edge apart is its ultra-slim 5.85mm profile, making it Samsung’s sleekest device yet. Weighing only 163 grams, the phone could challenge competitors like Apple’s rumoured iPhone 17 Air in the battle for thin supremacy.

Samsung has also confirmed that the Galaxy S25 Edge will debut Corning’s new Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, developed specially to complement the phone’s minimalist design. The rear panel, meanwhile, will likely be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, all wrapped in a titanium frame for added durability and a premium touch. Colour options at launch will reportedly include Titanium Blue, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Black.

200MP Camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip & Android 15

Samsung has already spilled the beans on one big feature — the 200MP main camera sensor, the same powerhouse found in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This will be paired with a 12MP ultra-wide lens, arranged vertically in a pill-shaped camera island spotted during its sneak peek at MWC 2025.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is tipped to offer a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 3120 x 1440 pixels and a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it’s expected to run on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with 12GB of RAM, promising top-tier performance for multitaskers and power users alike.

Despite its slim build, the handset may pack a 3,900mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging and Qi2 wireless charging. While not the biggest battery on the market, it’s a trade-off for the phone’s svelte form factor.

Samsung seems to be banking big on design innovation this year. “The upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge will feature Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2,” the company confirmed ahead of the launch. “This element is specially made to match the ultra-slim design of the smartphone.”

All other features remain unconfirmed for now — and as always with leaks, it’s wise to wait for official specs. But with the launch set for May 13 at 1 PM IST, the wait won’t be long.

The Galaxy S25 Edge could very well be Samsung’s boldest design gamble yet — but with a premium price tag to match, it remains to be seen if slim will indeed sell.
