Is That An iPhone? Nope, It's The Upcoming Oppo Reno 14 – And It Looks Familiar

Oppo Reno 13 Pro already bore some resemblance to iPhone models, and the Reno 14 seems to continue that trend with a few refinements.

The Oppo Reno 14 has surfaced online ahead of its official launch, and if you mistook it for an iPhone at first glance, you're not alone. Leaked images shared on Weibo by well-known tipster Digital Chat Station reveal a design that appears heavily inspired by Apple’s iPhone 12 series, from the camera placement to the flat-edge frame.

iPhone Flashbacks? Oppo Reno 14’s New Look Has People Looking Twice

The images leaked online show the alleged Oppo Reno 14 from the back and the side (see below). Is That An iPhone? Nope, It's The Upcoming Oppo Reno 14 – And It Looks Familiar

The rear panel, in particular, echoes a familiar Apple aesthetic. The white matte finish and chamfered metal camera rings, housed within a slightly raised rectangular module, are reminiscent of older iPhones.

The camera setup follows an "R"-shaped configuration, with two lenses positioned vertically on the left and a third nestled inside a capsule-shaped ring. Beneath them sits a triple LED flash, all tightly packed within the raised module. The flat, sculpted glass rear adds to the phone's sleek and polished appeal.

Slim Profile, Familiar Buttons

From the side view, the Reno 14 looks impressively slim. The leaked image also shows both the volume rocker and power/unlock buttons placed on the same side — again, echoing the iPhone’s ergonomic layout. This aligns with earlier leaks, which hinted that the Reno 14 series would be notably thin and lightweight, supported by a sturdy metal mid-frame.

While the Pro version may introduce a new Magic Cube button, its presence on the standard Reno 14 remains uncertain. The second image shows both buttons. On this side reside the volume and power/unlock buttons.

Evolution or Inspiration?

It’s worth noting that this isn’t Oppo’s first brush with Apple-esque design cues. The previous Reno 13 Pro already bore some resemblance to iPhone models, and the Reno 14 seems to continue that trend with a few refinements.

While there's no word yet on hardware specifications or launch dates, this early glimpse at the Reno 14’s design suggests that Oppo is aiming for a premium look, one that Apple fans might find oddly familiar.

With a slim frame, stylish camera module, and a design that plays on nostalgia, the Oppo Reno 14 could appeal to users who love the iPhone aesthetic but prefer the Android ecosystem.
