New Nokia Phones Incoming: HMD Plans One Last Nostalgic Blast Before 2026 Brand Split

HMD Global is preparing a final lineup of Nokia-branded feature phones ahead of the company’s scheduled brand separation in 2026. The move marks a sentimental farewell to one of mobile’s most iconic names, with a series of throwback devices expected to land throughout 2025.
Classic Comeback: Retro Nokia Models Set to Return
According to tipster @smashx_60, HMD is working on several new feature phones that pay homage to Nokia’s golden era. The upcoming models include the Nokia 3510 4G, Nokia 5710XA 4G (2025), Nokia 130 Music (2G), Nokia 150 Music (2G), and Nokia 8310 4G.
These aren’t smartphones, and that’s the point — they’re built for users who prefer the simplicity of physical buttons and basic functionality, away from the noise of modern apps and notifications.
Among them, the 5710XA is set for a refresh. The original 2022 version stood out for its integrated wireless earbuds and dedicated music controls. The 2025 iteration is expected to maintain the same retro-cool vibe while upgrading from a Micro USB to a more modern USB-C charging port.
Music at the Core: Audio-Focused Devices with Utility Features
The Nokia 130 and 150 Music editions, recently introduced in India under the HMD name, are designed with sound and battery life in mind. Both phones feature a 2.4-inch QVGA screen, Bluetooth 5.0, and a powerful 2W speaker. Backed by a 2,500mAh removable battery, they promise a staggering 34-day standby time.
The Nokia 130 Music brings dual torch lights and UPI payment support, while the 150 Music adds a rear QVGA camera, flashlight, and scan-and-pay functionality. Globally, these models are expected to retain Nokia branding, despite their HMD badge in the Indian market.
HMD Steps Out of Nokia’s Shadow
Earlier this year, HMD took a major step in distancing itself from the Nokia brand by ending smartphone sales under the Nokia name. What remains are a handful of feature phones trickling into select markets at a slower pace. In parallel, HMD has been ramping up efforts to establish its own product ecosystem, with new devices bearing the HMD name alone.
The feature phones expected in 2025 are shaping up to be a final tribute — one last hurrah for Nokia’s storied legacy in mobile phones. By March 2026, HMD will officially retire the dual-branding strategy, closing a long chapter in mobile history.
Adding to its quirky product mix, HMD also launched a Barbie Flip Phone in India for ₹7,999. The device embraces Y2K nostalgia with its bright pink design, 2.8-inch screen, UNISOC T107 chip, 64MB RAM, and 128MB of expandable storage. Running on S30+, it features Barbie-themed apps like Malibu Snake and Meditation, offering a playful twist for retro tech lovers.
