German Firm Trolls Zuckerberg Over Meta Logo, Says It’s ‘Inspired’ By Their Health App

M-sense, a 2016 app for migraine patients, trolled Meta on Twitter after Facebook unveiled its new logo

New Delhi: Mark Zuckerberg announced last week that Facebook is rebranding itself as Meta, in order to focus on building the metaverse, and also unveiled a new logo to replace the thumbs-up sign. The infinity shape, or a Mobius strip, is the tech giant's new logo.

Ever since the announcement, Zuckerberg has found himself at the receiving end of massive trolling over the new name and also his projection of the metaverse.
This time, Meta is being trolled over the new logo.

A Berlin-based Migraine App Takes A Dig At Meta

An app developed by German company Newsenselab took a dig at Meta in a tweet. The Berlin-based app, named ‘M-sense Migräne’, posted how “honoured“ they were because Facebook felt “inspired” by the logo of their app.

"We are very honoured that @facebook felt inspired by the logo of our migraine app - maybe they'll get inspired by our data privacy procedures as well", the company tweeted.

One of the users of the app also took a dig at Facebook's privacy policies, calling them a "major headache".

Developed in 2016, M-sense Migräne is a German health startup that offers digital treatment programmes for people suffering from migraines and headaches.

In a separate tweet, M-sense advised Zuckerberg to use the app.

“We've been told this rebrand to @Meta is causing Mr. Zuckerberg a big migraine — we can help!”

Trolling Continues

Earlier, Twitter took a dig at Facebook after the rebranding. "The only #META we acknowledge is this," the Twitter Safety account posted as it shared an article on Twitter's Machine Learning, Ethics, Transparency and Accountability (META) team.

One Twitter user wrote that Facebook seems to have copied what SpaceX CEO Elon Musk had once kept as his Twitter bio. Earlier, Musk's bio on the microblogging site was "meta for k".

Musk also shared memes to troll Zuckerberg, one of which said, "If you die in the metaverse, you die in real life".
