This Blinged-Out iPhone 16 Pro Costs More Than A Car. Check Out Why

iPhone 16 Pro price starts at around Rs 1.2 lakh. However, Caviar's luxury iPhones can easily go above Rs 7 lakh.

If you thought the next iPhone would only be about camera upgrades and AI smarts, think again. Russian luxury brand Caviar has dropped a new collection of ultra-premium iPhones based on the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro — and they’re anything but ordinary. Starting at a jaw-dropping $8,200 (roughly Rs 7 lakh), these devices are inspired not by tech trends, but by the finest Swiss watches. Yes, you read that right: your next phone could look (and cost) like a Patek Philippe.

A Camera Layout That Breaks the Apple Mold

Caviar’s latest lineup, dubbed the Corona Collection, dares to dream beyond Cupertino’s design playbook, as first reported by Gizmochina. While Apple continues to tweak its signature diagonal camera layout, Caviar rips up the script entirely. The new collection flaunts a symmetrical triangular camera arrangement, set within a graceful curved frame — an aesthetic choice meant to echo the symmetry and precision of Swiss horology.

This layout isn’t based on any iPhone 17 leaks or prototypes. Instead, it’s Caviar’s own radical reimagining of what a luxury iPhone could look like, and it’s got serious haute design energy.

Swiss Watches Meet Smartphones

Each model in the Corona series is a wearable-art-level tribute to iconic timepieces. “Nightwing” borrows design cues from the Patek Philippe Calatrava 6007G, featuring intricate guilloché engraving that mimics the dial's texture. “Tapisserie” takes inspiration from the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, boasting a grid-like pattern in a striking titanium and gold combo.

Prefer rugged elegance? The “Hexagon,” modelled after the Rolex Sea-Dweller, leans into bolder engravings and a more adventurous style. And for those who like a bit of baroque drama, “Sky Filigree” channels the opulence of the Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon, complete with celestial motifs and ornate filigree.

Gold, Titanium, and Handcrafted Glory

These are not your average phones wrapped in a fancy case. Each device features a titanium chassis coated with PVD and a jewellery-grade alloy back, plated in 24-karat gold. The rear panel includes intricate hand-engraved details, making every phone feel more like a museum piece than a mobile device.

Buyers can pre-order these luxury models for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max directly from Caviar’s official site. Quantities will be limited, and yes, customisations are available for those who want their own name — or maybe a tiny diamond — etched into their tech toy.

In Caviar’s own words, this isn’t just a design refresh: it’s a declaration. “We are proud to introduce our vision of the next generation of iPhones,” the company stated.

And if that wasn’t lavish enough, the brand is also making headlines for its Spiritual Heritage series, starting at $8,340, and a one-off $100,000 iPhone 16 Pro Max inspired by Notre Dame Cathedral. Divine intervention, meet digital obsession.
