Battleground Mobile India Bans 1,42,000 Accounts Permanently For Cheating

Krafton also said that it will impose strict sanctions aimed at eradicating use of illegal programmes so that a pleasant gaming environment could be provided to the players.

New Delhi: Krafton, the developer of Battleground Mobile India (BGMI), said that it has banned over 1,42,000 players in less than a week for cheating. The company said that these bans were imposed as a result to limit illegal programmes in the game that result in hacking. According to the company, these accounts were banned between December 6 to December 12. The company published the full list of banned accounts with their names on its website.

The company said that the accounts were permanently banned and would not be able to come back to the game. Krafton also said that it will impose strict sanctions aimed at eradicating use of illegal programmes so that a pleasant gaming environment could be provided to the players.

This is not the first time that the developer has suspended gaming accounts. Last month, Battlegrounds Mobile India had announced that it banned around 1,57,000 accounts between November 17 to November 23. Upon detecting any illegal activity like downloading the game from other sources or having a hack installed, Krafton sends a notice to the players.

The Battlegrounds Mobile India had recently announced that transfer of data from PUBG Mobile for Indian players will be discontinued after December 31. The players will have to import their PUBG Mobile data before December 31. Since it was launched the BGMI had allowed the users to import their data via Twitter and Facebook logins, if the player used the same social media accounts.

The developers had last month disabled the option to allow the players to login via Facebook through an embedded browser. The users now need to have the Facebook app installed in order to login to Battlegrounds Mobile India through Facebook.
