Apple is set to kick off its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) today, June 5. The event, which will continue until June 9, is designed to introduce third-party developers to the fresh set of Apple’s software, including the likes of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS. Each WWDC event is marked by an opening keynote address from the Cupertino giant’s CEO. This year, Tim Cook is expected to introduce Apple’s much-awaited mixed reality headset, as well as a 15-inch MacBook Air, among other offerings.

Cook will kick off Apple’s WWDC this year at 10:30pm IST. Cook’s keynote address is expected to last for a couple of hours, marked by inputs from other Apple executives on the various products/services launched.

WWDC 2023: Where is it being held?

The in-person event will be held at the company headquarters, Apple Park, located in Cupertino, California, US.  

WWDC 2023: What to expect

Apple’s much-awaited mixed reality headset will finally see the light of day at WWDC 2023, if the latest rumours are to be believed. 

While several tipsters and journalists, including Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, have shared ample details on the upcoming headset, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg also dropped a surprise late last week, by launching the company’s latest AR/VR headset, dubbed Quest 3. It remains to be seen what Apple decides to christen their own headset.

Furthermore, Apple is expected to announce a 15-inch MacBook Air today, which is expected to be powered by the company’s in-house silicon. 

Lastly, Apple will introduce its latest batch of OS, including the likes of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, tvOS 17, and watchOS 10.
