'Write 300 Word Essay, Study Traffic Rules': Bail Conditions By Court On Teen In Pune Porsche Crash Case

The teenager who was driving the Porsche that collided with a two-wheeler and crushed two to death was granted bail in less than 14 hrs with one of the conditions being that he writes a 300-word essay

The 17-year-old boy who was driving the Porsche that collided with a two-wheeler and crushed two individuals to death was granted bail in less than 15 hours by a juvenile court with one of the conditions being that he writes a 300-word essay on the topic "Effect of road accidents and their solution." The court has imposed a clutch of conditions on the boy who is the main accused in the case and is also reportedly a son of a famous builder. 

The juvenile court has imposed the following conditions on the teenager in the case:

  • The juvenile court has directed the accused to submit a 300-word essay on the topic ‘Effect of road accident and their solution’.
  • The court also asked the parents to ensure that he does not repeat the same offence.
  • The court directed the parents to keep the 17-year-old away from joining any bad company.
  • The court also directed the accused to study the traffic rules and submit a report within 15 days.
  • The accused will also have to undergo counselling. 
  • The parents have been directed to ensure his presence before the Juvenile Justice Board.
  • The juvenile board has asked the boy to work alongside traffic police for 15 days as one of the conditions. 

The incident occured on Sunday morning when a speeding Porsche car driven by the 17-year-old rammed into a two-wheeler near Koregaon Park in Pune. The victims who lost their lives to the incident are identified as Anis Dudhiya and Ashwini Costa. The 17-year-old was reportedly returning from a party and was also drunk on alcohol.

After the incident, locals thrashed the accused teenager at the scene. A video is making rounds on the internet showing the angry mob beating the teenager after the accident.

Soon after, the Yerawada police station registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicles Act, including 279 for rash driving, 304A for death by negligence, 337 for endangering human life, and 338 for causing grievous hurt.

Earlier it was reported that a case will be registered against the father of the accused teen and the bar that served liquor to the boy will also be charged and a case will be registered against them.
