'You Make Allegations Without...': Kapil Sibal Hits Out At Amit Shah Over His Red Diary Remarks
Former Rajasthan Minister Rajendra Gudha released pages of a "Red Diary" a few weeks back and leveled allegations of corruption against the Gehlot-led state government.
New Delhi: A day after Home Minister Amit Shah attacked Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot over the 'Red Diary' issue, Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal on Sunday said that the Home Minister is levelling allegations without knowing the facts.
Speaking to news agency ANI, Sibal said, "Does he have the Red Diary? Amit Shahji, can you tell me if you have the Red Diary? If you have the Red Diary, why don't you tell the people of the country what are those corruption details? You don't have the red diary, you don't produce the Red Diary and yet you make allegations without knowing anything."

Sibal further said, "I don't want this to be a political issue but remember the Birla Sahara diaries? Where actually names were written and you know the names... and the matter went to the Supreme Court and despite what was written in the diary, the Supreme Court says this is not evidence... You don't have the diary and yet you consider it as evidence against your rival Congress chief minister. This is not good politics... The BJP will lose this election."
Union Home Minister on Saturday hit out at CM Ashok Gehlot over the ‘Red Diary’ and had asked him to submit his resignation.
Shah addressed the 'Sahakar Kisaan Sammelan' in Rajasthan’s Gangapur during which he said that the "red diary" contains all the details of corruption worth crores of rupees. Shah said, "I want to tell Ashok Gehlot that nothing happens by sending a few people to shout slogans. If you have any shame, then resign."

He added, "Yesterday, a folder was sent to me. I said, Do not keep this folder; Ashok Gehlot will get angry because the colour of the folder (the diary) is red."
Shah during his interaction with farmers in the poll-bound state further said that the lives of crores of farmers are now getting a new direction due to various initiatives of the Ministry of Cooperation.
Former Rajasthan Minister and Congress leader Rajendra Gudha released pages of a "Red Diary" a few weeks back and leveled allegations of corruption against the Gehlot-led state government. Gudha read pages of the diary and alleged the state government of corruption in the Rajasthan Cricket Association, as reported by the news agency ANI. He said that the red diary contains all the proofs of corruption that have been done by the Gehlot government.
