'Ab Aapka Bhateeja Modi Ko Rokega': Tejashwi Yadav Fires Salvo At Nitish Kumar During Floor Test

Tejashwi Yadav came down heavily on Bihar CM Nitish Kumar during the floor test in the Bihar Legislative Assembly saying he stood against the new government.

Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav trained guns on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday who sought trust vote in the assembly after realigning with the NDA to form government in the state. Yadav, who lost his post to Bharatiya Janata Party's Samrat Choudhary, said he stood against the new government.

"I stand against this new government. I want to thank CM Nitish Kumar for creating history by taking oath 9 times..." Yadav said during his address in the Bihar Legislative Assembly.

"We will always respect CM Nitish Kumar...When you came out of Raj Bhavan after resigning, you (Nitish Kumar) said 'Mann nhi lag raha tha, hum log nachne gaane ke liye thode hai...we were there to support you," said the RJD leader.

"...We think of you (CM Nitish Kumar) as a member of our family. We are from the Samajwadi family...Jo aap jhanda le kar ke chale the ki Modi ko desh mein rokne hain, ab aapka Bhateeja jhanda utha kar ke Modi ko Bihar mein rokne ka kaam karega." (the flag that you carried to stop Modi in the country, now your nephew will bear that flag and complete the task of stopping Modi in Bihar).

Taking a jibe at Kumar, the former Bihar Deputy CM said, "I feel bad for JDU MLAs because they will have to go among the public and answer. If someone asks you why Nitish Kumar took oath 3 times, what will you say? Earlier you used to criticise them (BJP) and now you are praising them, what will you say? We (RJD) will say that we have given jobs."

The floor test is taking place on the first day of Bihar Assembly's budget session and witnessed the passage of no-confidence motion against Speaker Awadh Bihari Chaudhary.

RJD leader Chaudhary has, however, said that he would not step down despite the motion moved by the NDA MLAs soon after the new government was formed a forthnight ago.
