Bihar: CM Nitish Kumar Recommends Guv To Dismiss Mukesh Sahani From Cabinet
Sahani, who is left as the only representative from his party, had refused to resign from the Cabinet saying that the chief minister has to take a decision on it and he would abide by the orders.
New Delhi: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wrote to Governor Phagu Chauhan on Sunday seeking the dismissal of Mukesh Sahani from his post in the Cabinet.
According to a report by news agency ANI, this move comes after the BJP wrote a letter to Kumar seeking the removal of Sahani from his post as Minister of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries.
"Bihar Minister Mukesh Sahani to step down from his post, CM Nitish Kumar sent a recommendation to the Governor after receiving a written complaint from BJP regarding his removal," the government said, as quoted by ANI.

It is to be noted that Sahani is the chief of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) that is a part of BJP-JDU government in Bihar.
In a major setback to VIP, one of its MLAs died last year and the remaining three joined BJP on Wednesday.
Sahani, who is left as the only representative from his party, had refused to resign from the Cabinet saying that the chief minister has to take a decision on it and he would abide by the orders.
The three MLAs who left VIP to join the saffron party are Raju Singh, Mishri Lal Yadav and Swarna Singh.
Notably, the BJP had started a campaign against Sahani since he fielded his party workers against the BJP candidates in Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, Bihar legislative council elections and by-elections to assembly from Bochaha seat.
BJP, that had alleged Sahani of cheating the fishermen and the department earlier, on Sunday demanded probe into the working of the Animal Husbandry ministry.
