Zlatan Ibrahimovic Tests Positive For Covid-19 Infection; Second Confirmed Case In AC Milan

AC Milan's striker tested positive for Coronavirus after a second round of swab tests ahead of tonight's game against Bodo-Glimt.

Former Manchester United and Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday. The development comes ahead of Milan's Europa League tie with Norwegian side Bodo-Glimt. ALSO READ | Former Australian Cricketer Dean Jones, In Mumbai For IPL Commentary, Dies Of Massive Heart Attack At Hotel Lobby The striker tested positive for Coronavirus after a second round of swab tests ahead of tonight's game against Bodo-Glimt. Informing about the same, he wrote on Twitter: "I tested negative to Covid yesterday and positive today. No symptoms what so ever. Covid had the courage to challenge me. Bad idea".
Prior to this, Defender Leo Duarte tested positive on Tuesday and after that the entire squad and staff had been re-tested. Relevant authorities have been informed and the player is now under quarantine at home. In a positive report, all other team members and staff have tested negative. Ibrahimovic will turn 39 on October 5. His absence meanwhile will be a major blow to the team as he is a key focal point to their attack - they will have to step up to this new challenge until post the next international break.
