The Indian squad consisting of 27 members are set to lock horns in the World Athletics Championships, slated to take place in Budapest, Hungary, from August 19 to 27. Champion player Neeraj Chopra is the only player who won the medal in the Indian contingent. Last year in Eugene, the 25-year-old sealed a silver medal in the javelin throw. Other players like Avinash Sable, M. Sreeshankar, Jeswin Aldrin, and Praveen Chithravel will be eying a spot on the podium this time. Talking about the Indian team, they have won two medals so far in the history of the World Athletics Championships since 1983 and this time they will look to add more to their tally.
