Legendary Spinner Shane Warne Tests Positive For COVID-19

Shane Warne tests Positive: Former Australia leg-spinner Shane Warne has tested positive for COVID-19 during The Hundred tournament. Warne has isolated himself from the rest of the team members.

Shane Warne Corona Positive: Legendary spinner Shane Warne, former leg-spinner from Australia, has tested positive for COVID-19 during 'The Hundred' tournament. Shane Warne has been the head coach of the London Spirit team in this tournament. Apart from Warne, another member of the team management has also been reported to have tested positive for COVID-19, after which both have been quarantining. Warne is the second head coach of 'The Hundred' tournament to have tested positive for Covid. Before him, Andy Flower, head coach of Trent Rockets, also tested positive for COVID-19 last week. 

Warne had complained of being unwell ahead of the match against Southern Braves at Lord's on Sunday. He went through a rapid antigen test which came back positive for COVID-19. At present, report for the conducted RT-PCR test are awaited. There has been no news of any player of the London Spirit team being infected till now.  
 
51-year-old Shane Warne and another member of the London Spirit team management have been isolated after testing positive for COVID-19. In its statement, the London Spirit Club revealed, "After feeling unwell on Sunday morning, Shane's initial test was done which came back positive. He has been isolated from other team members and support staff. His RT-PCR test results are awaited."
 
The statement added, "Another member from the team management has also tested positive and has also been isolated. So far no player of the team has been found to be infected by them." In Warne's absence, the club's assistant coach David Ripley will take over as the head coach.
