Rishabh Pant's captaincy record in IPL: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has officially appointed Rishabh Pant as their captain for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, following his acquisition for a record Rs 27 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction.

Rishabh Pant's captaincy role was officially confirmed on January 20, with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) team owner Sanjiv Goenka also present during the announcement.

Since its debut in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has reached the playoffs in both 2022 and 2023, but failed to qualify in 2024. After parting ways with former captain KL Rahul, LSG has placed their trust in Pant, hoping his leadership could help them reach the finals.
